CA250XG-2: 250 Amp Expansion Gap and Joint Kit Assembly

The CA250XG-2 kit is suitable for 250 Amp conductor bars with up to a 2-inch expansion gap.  A single Expansion Gap Kit must be placed every 150 feet in system length (steel systems) or one per kit every 100 feet (copper systems)

The things that are included in the kit are, two additional power feeds and a jumper to bridge the gap electrically.  We recommend using tandem collectors to effectively provide power across the expansion gap. The gap should be set based on the conductor bar temperature. Conductor bars rated for temperatures of 30°F should have gaps of 0.5 inches.
