Power Electronics Micro-Speed CX is the proven standard open-loop variable frequency drive in the Power Electronics crane and hoist range — a widely installed, crane-specific VFD engineered for bridge, trolley, monorail, and hoist motor control applications from 1 to 20HP across the broad range of general US industrial environments. Micro-Speed CX delivers the crane-specific motor control performance that general-purpose VFDs cannot provide, with smooth programmable acceleration and deceleration, DC injection braking, multi-speed control supporting up to seven isolated speed inputs, and the Gang-Set six-second programming system that allows fast, straightforward drive commissioning without extensive parameter configuration training.
Micro-Speed CX is available in CXR configuration factory preset for travel motion — bridge, trolley, monorail, and conveyor applications — and CXR-H configuration factory preset for hoist applications on hoists equipped with a mechanical load brake or self-locking worm gear drive. The CXRP variant adds a built-in two-pole solid-state brake board for 1–5HP applications where integrated brake control saves panel space and wiring complexity. All CX models are available across all standard three-phase voltages from 208V through 600V with an operating temperature range of -10°C to 60°C — the highest temperature rating in the industry, running 50 percent above standard drive specifications.
