TER Oscar Series — Dual-Output Rotary Limit Switch for Complex US Crane and Industrial Applications

TER Oscar Series is a rotary limit switch used to control and measure the movement of industrial machines. Oscar offers the flexibility of two different outputs with different revolution ratios and the possibility of installing different movement detection devices, making Oscar the correct specification for US crane applications in extreme cold storage environments, outdoor northern climate installations, and high-temperature foundry and forge shop crane applications where the -40°C lower limit of the Base Series or the -25°C lower limit of the GF4C Series is insufficient for the operating temperature requirements of the installation.

Oscar Series rotary limit switches consist of a gear motor that transfers movement to cams and other movement detection devices through a primary input reduction stage using worm gear and helical toothed gear, and one or more secondary output stages. Accurate adjustment of cams by means of screws, with positive opening NC contacts for safety functions. Mechanical life of switches is up to 10 million operations. Up to 8 circuits with potentiometer, reduction ratio up to 1550:1. Extreme temperature resistance spans -53°C to +80°C — the widest operating temperature range in the TER rotary limit switch range, making Oscar the correct specification for US crane applications in extreme cold storage environments, outdoor northern climate installations, and high-temperature foundry and forge shop crane applications where the -40°C lower limit of the Base and Fox series is insufficient.

IP protection degree is IP65/IP66/IP67/IP69K. NEMA protection degree is Type 4X on cULus marked versions. CE and cULus marking are standard. Available with anti-moisture plug. Available with flanges, pinions, and couplings. Plates with universal adapter to replace existing systems. The Oscar Lima version provides ISO 13849 safety standard compliance for US crane installations integrated with safety-rated control systems requiring control redundancy and shaft rotation monitoring.
