Vahle KBH and KSL Conductor Bar: Enclosed Conductor Bar Systems for US Crane and Monorail Applications
Crane-Controls.com features two Vahle enclosed conductor bar systems for US crane, monorail, and industrial electrification applications — the KBH and KSL series. Both are contact-protected enclosed conductor systems designed to deliver reliable power and control to moving crane equipment, with poles for the power and control embedded within protective profiles that provide personnel contact protection along the full length of the conductor bar runway.
Vahle KBH — a contact-protected enclosed conductor system developed especially for standard cranes in the low- to mid-power range, with poles for the power control embedded in a lightweight but stable hollow-chamber plastic profile. Current collectors are guided therein by ball bearings and can compensate for even large tolerances on the track. Available in KBHF configuration with spring-loaded connectors from 63 to 100A, and KBHS configuration with bolted joints from 63 to 200A — both in 4-conductor and 5-conductor versions with pre-assembled copper conductors. KBH is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications and can be equipped with an optional heating wire that prevents the formation of frost on the contact bars. Protected to IP23 standard as standard, and IP24 with optional sealing strip.
Vahle KSL — a Powerail enclosed conductor system for overhead cranes, monorail systems, electric hoists, automated storage and retrieval systems, electric power tools, machine tools, assembly and test lines, and other applications, suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Main characteristics are minimum space requirement, easy installation, and resistance against corrosion. Vahle Powerails fully meet all VDE safety requirements. The KSL series is available in KBSL and KSLT variants — with the gray housing KSLT recommended for outdoor applications due to more favorable thermal properties. The KSLT can be equipped with sealing strip for IP24 protection or plastic shielding.
