US Safety Trolley Conductor Bar — Replacement Parts for Tri-Bar/Four-Bar and TightWire Systems
US Safety Trolley discontinued new system orders for its Tri-Bar/Four-Bar and TightWire conductor bar product lines on January 31, 2022. Crane-Controls.com stocks replacement parts for US Safety Trolley Tri-Bar/Four-Bar and TightWire installations at US overhead crane, hoist, monorail, and industrial electrification facilities where these systems remain in service.
Tri-Bar/Four-Bar is a joint-free, multi-conductor conductor bar system with solid copper conductors housed in a high-impact PVC insulated housing. Originally available in 50A, 100A, and 125A copper configurations in 3-pole (Tri-Bar) and 4-pole (Four-Bar) versions, rated up to 600V, the system was supplied in continuous lengths cut to order and delivered in coils, eliminating the joints that are the most maintenance-intensive element of segmented conductor bar systems. TightWire is a compact, lightweight single-piece conductor bar system rated at 90A, designed for installations where minimizing space requirements and installation hardware was the primary specification driver.
Crane-Controls.com stocks replacement trolleys, collectors, taps, jacks, and accessories for Tri-Bar/Four-Bar and TightWire systems currently in service at US crane and industrial facilities. New US Safety Trolley system installations are not available — replacement parts only, subject to availability. For facilities requiring new joint-free conductor bar system installations, SpanGuard Corporation (spanguard.net) now manufactures the Span-Guard joint-free conductor bar system in 250A and 520A ratings for indoor and outdoor crane and industrial applications — the direct successor to the US Safety Trolley joint-free conductor bar product line.
Crane-Controls.com's technical team can assist with identifying the correct replacement parts for existing US Safety Trolley installations and advising on upgrade paths to currently available conductor bar systems where replacement parts are no longer obtainable. OSHA 1910.179, CMAA, and ASME B30 compliant installations supported.
