Insul-8 Stretch Wire Rope festoon systems are well suited for light duty applications — economical and dependable for small cranes, moving hoists, and other equipment where a C-Track cannot be installed. Stretch Wire festoon kits are rated at 10-20 lbs per trolley at speeds up to 200 feet per minute — the lowest capacity and most infrastructure-minimal festoon solution in the Insul-8 range, providing the most practical and economical cable management option for US jib crane, short monorail, light gantry, and specialty industrial machine applications where adding C-Track or I-Beam infrastructure is not feasible within the constraints of the installation.
The Stretch Wire system suspends cable carriers from a tensioned wire rope strung between fixed end supports rather than requiring track or I-beam mounting — providing organized cable loop management and controlled cable travel that prevents cable drag, cable damage, and uncontrolled cable movement without the track installation requirements of C-Track or I-Beam festoon systems. Stretch Wire festoon kits are available for flat cable and for round cable or hose — covering both standard power and control cable configurations and pneumatic hose applications on US light duty crane and industrial machinery installations. For US crane installations requiring festoon runs at higher load capacities or operating speeds, Standard Duty or Heavy Duty C-Track is the recommended Insul-8 specification.
