TER Top Series — Maximum Circuit Capacity Rotary Limit Switch for Multi-Point US Crane and Industrial Applications

TER Top Series accommodates up to 18 circuits without potentiometer — the highest circuit capacity available in the TER rotary limit switch range and significantly greater than the 5-circuit Fox and 8-circuit Oscar maximum configurations. The Top Series is the TER specification for US crane and industrial machinery installations requiring the greatest number of independent switching points from a single shaft-mounted rotary limit switch — making it the correct choice for complex multi-point crane travel limit control applications, multi-axis automated crane systems, and process-critical industrial machinery installations where the switching capacity of all other TER series is insufficient for the full range of position sensing requirements.

Top Series rotary limit switches provide the maximum configuration flexibility available in the TER range — accommodating the most complex combinations of cams, switches, potentiometers, and encoders within a single housing for US crane builders and system integrators specifying rotary limit switch solutions for advanced crane control applications that require more switching points than standard crane installations. Protection degree is IP66/IP67/IP69K. NEMA protection degree is Type 4X. Operating and storage temperature range is -40°C to +80°C. Maximum rotation speed is 800 RPM. Microswitch options include PRSL0100XX single throw double pole NO+NC snap action rated 2A @ 125V cURus, and PRSL0110XX double throw double pole NO+NC snap action rated 3A @ 125V CSA.

The Top Series is particularly well suited to US automated crane systems integrated with production control networks requiring multiple independent position switching outputs across a single crane motion axis, large bridge crane installations where independent switching at multiple travel limit points across long runway spans requires greater circuit capacity than lower TER series can provide, and process-critical industrial crane applications in US aerospace, defense, nuclear, and precision manufacturing facilities where the number of motion control switching requirements per axis exceeds the capacity of standard rotary limit switch configurations.  Top is a direct replacement for the original discontinued SF12C rotary limit switch.  Top is dimensionally and mechanically identical to SF12C.
