The 70S is a standard copper graphite contact shoe — a replacement part for 70 Amp SAF-T-BAR collectors. The contact shoe provides the sliding electrical connection between the conductor bar and collector assembly, and it's a wear item designed to be replaced periodically as it wears down, rather than replacing the whole collector assembly.
Per the current crane-controls.com (US site) listing, 70S fits the 70E, 70L, 70C, 70W, and 70LL collectors. A different, specific shoe (2191) is sold separately for the C70 collector — despite the similar naming, it's not the same part as 70S.
